Crochet thru the winter

We have been busy, busy, busy. The Yarn Dolls are active and we are loving these new projects. Terrie, Brittany, and I all have different afghans working (more than one each). Tammie is still working on various scarves. Can you believe it? Here we are claiming to be non-crafty people and man, we are crafting the heck out of the winter. The days are long and cold and we have filled our days with finger warming works. We desire to be warm and productive.

My first real post...

It is stinking freezing here. We are in the teens and in the deep south that is really cold. When we live in ND this would have been considered spring. Seriously, we were very glad to see temps above the 10 degree mark in the middle of winter. But here in SC we are struggling to make it thru this blast of artic air that seems to be pouring in from the frigid Canadien frontier. I know it is only temporary around here, but man, we are already sick of it. What a bunch of spoiled babies we are. I can't really believe that we are crying about being in the teens.
I can't wait to feel the heat of the sun tomorrow...
I just wrote all these fabulous things and lost them trying to figure out the font style I liked best...go figure!!

About Me

My photo
I am a follower of Christ for about...forever...seriously giving my life to Him in the 10th grade. Best decision I ever made! The next best thing was to say yes to my man when he proposed 20 years ago. Now, 4 kids later, innumerable houses and addresses, we are living in a small town in SC. The children are thriving. I love being a stay at home mom. I sub at the kids schools and I like being connected to their education process. I am the Coordinator of our local scout group American Heritage Girls, AHG, for short. We are a God and Country scouting organization and we have been involved for 6 years. My family live nearby, about an hour away, just the right distance. We have a terrific group of friends that we do EVERYTHING with. We celebrate every real and imagined holiday, just to give us an excuse to be together. We play hard in the summer and party hard in the fall and winter. Not that kind of partying, by the way! We have a lot of fun and our kids do too!
